Feels like I haven’t got very far this week with any of my projects but here’s where we are…
Giddy Jumper has grown and I started doing the rib at the bottom, but I have been feeling unsure about whether it’s too close-fitting for me at the bottom end. I am very self-conscious so anything that draws attention to my size makes me a bit uncomfortable. However, I am leaning towards keeping it as it is, not quite decided yet. This is why progress has now paused while I consider if I want to frog it back a way and add some increases.
Here it is at the moment:
Excuse my face in the next one – this is me looking at myself in the phone screen and thinking “hmm does this look ok or not?”.
In this one I look very grumpy, but really I’m just trying to look normal and casual, but I don’t have the ability to actually do that. Seems I have resting b*tch face!
Something I’m feeling a bit more positive about is this fix to my snuggly oversized hexy cardigan that had the curling up rib at the bottom. I frogged it back and redid the rib in back loop slip stitches instead and it looks much better now.
I also made a little belt with a foundation treble (US terms) / double treble (UK terms) so I can keep it wrapped around me. I could of course have done buttons, but seeing as I didn’t this is an option when I’m feeling really chilly.
Or I can just wear it without, and snuggle myself as needed! 🙂
Looks like I only did one or two rows on the star blanket this week. It’s been a rather tiring, difficult week at work, so I think I’ve just been too tired to do as much as I would have liked to.
