Sunday Crochet Update 11/5/25

My crochet update is a little late today as I was busy this morning doing Race for Life! I did the 3km course, walking with my stick, and my daughter ran the 5km. It was very warm, but we did it! Rather tired and sore now though! If anyone would like to donate, our donation page is here.

Anyway, back to the crochet…

As I’ve been getting into the Tunisian crochet, I decided to get myself a good Tunisian hook. I discovered the KnitPro Symfonie interchangeable Tunisian crochet hook range. They are lovely wooden crochet hooks, and then you can screw in cables and stoppers to go with them. So I got myself at 6.5 and 6mm hook, and a 120cm cable to get me started and try them out. So far, I am very happy with them.

Such a pretty hook!

I’m making a Tunisian tee with it now (Comfort Tee by Natalie @Detroit Knots). I was going to use one of my lovely new hand-dyed yarns, but realised I don’t have enough as Tunisian is a bit yarn-hungry. So I looked in my stash and found some Cygnet DK which I have plenty of and I’m using that. It uses Tunisian knit stitch and simple stitch – it has a band of knit up the middle and edges with wider bands of simple stitch between. It’s rather hard to photograph at this point as it just wants to curl up!

I’ve also done more work on my Perran Ripple Tee which is coming along nicely. I’ve got past the sleeve split, and have stopped increasing so just need to keep going to add the length.

Also, I finished another jigsaw today (and bought new ones to celebrate completing Race for Life!)
