Sunday Crochet Update 7/9/25

This week I have been fiddling about with making a hat in the Knitcraft Spinning Kaleidoscope. I tried doing it top-down in the round in Tunisian, but I wasn’t happy with it.

For the first attempt I was using yarn-over to increase, but soon found that left it looking a bit weird and holey.

I then had another go, this time using Tunisian full stitch to add an additional stitch between 2 knit stitches. It’s better, but I still wasn’t convinced.

This is the back of the first attempt. It looks quite different to the front as you have to use 2 balls of yarn to do Tunisian in the round.

So in the end I went back to the kind of thing I was doing in the first place, but perhaps with no decreasing and just pull the top together when it’s long enough. We’ll see. Or I may just decide I can’t be bothered and stop. Feeling a bit meh about it, it’s been a tiring week.

Anyway, last week I forgot to mention that I finished this skinny scarf a while ago and forgot to post it. Here it is. I did try to take some photos of me wearing it but I didn’t like any of the photos, so you just get it wiggled together like this.
