I got my first butterfly photo of the year at the weekend. There were 3 Peacock butterflies in the garden and I was lucky enough to have this one pose for me after I'd run and got my camera! Such a beautiful butterfly, possibly underappreciated because it's quite common.

Early Fly
When I was taking photos of frost and droplets on Sunday my daughter spotted a fly. Not sure what it was doing out and about in such cold weather, but it was nice to get my first insect shot of the year.
