Crochet

On the Hook, 7/3/20

As predicted, I couldn’t resist a bit of joining for the Kaleidoscope blanket, but I haven’t actually made a single triangle this week!

Here are my joined pieces – only 2 as I don’t have enough triangles to do any more:

One of the central combinations
One of the edge combinations

What I’ve done instead of triangles is finish off my Luna sweater (pattern by Courtney A Clark). Unfortunately I realised during the week that the first sleeve I did had gone a bit wrong, so after a bit of grumbling and cursing I frogged the sleeve and started again. Now I have 2 correct and matching sleeves, and I’m really happy with how it looks on me 🙂

Today I’m going to try a bit of macrame. I have done a test and made this little pot holder, but now I have a bit of proper macrame yarn and I’m going to try and make a bigger one for my Christmas cactus to go in. We shall see how it goes.

Macrame pot holder made with some random cotton yarn.

Both the plant and planter were bought from our lovely local florist and plant shop in town: Number 21 Flowers. The planter is so cute! The plant is called a String of Hearts.
