A few days ago my daughter and I decided to go and visit the National Botanic Garden of Wales, and the British Birds of Prey Centre that’s also there. We were able to watch birds flying over our heads or perching nearby, and it was very exciting! I haven’t used my camera much lately but I was very glad I decided to take it with me. Here are some of my favourite photos …

You’ve done a great job of capturing the birds in flight – no easy task! The one of the kestrel hovering is especially lovely!

Oh my Suzy, your images are stunning. The owls and eagles have totally different facial looks. I have a friend who’s a birder and would love this place. Great job and thanks for participating in this challenge.

These are marvelous Suzy – and what perfect timing for the challenge! We have a Birds of Prey center near us and they actually do special sessions for photography groups which are great. I loved your last 2 images of the owls especially – fantastic! Question, did you photoshop out some of the straps? At our center they’re quite noticeable and I usually do P/S them out if possible. I saw very few straps in your images.

Thanks 😊 No I didn’t have to do any photoshopping thankfully, there wasn’t anything much showing.

Beautiful photos all of them. I love the Eurasian eagle owls (Bubo bubo). We have them here, and I think the photos you have are the same species. The snowy owl (Bubo scandianus) is a decidedly northern species and we don’t get them here. That’s again a beauty.
