I’ve been continuing with my tunisian rainbow shawl. I frogged it back to fix that error in the knit panel and decided that I wanted to keep that panel in in spite of the curling. I figure it will sort itself out as it grows, and I can block it flat. I’ve now continued on with no further glaring errors! After another panel of simple stitch, I was going to bring in a new tunisian stitch, but couldn’t find one I was happy with so instead there’s another panel of knit just starting in the top left corner. I think I’ll continue like this, alternating between simple and knit stitch, until it gets big enough to do the full width honeycomb rows to finish it off.
The other big news this week was our trip to Wonderwool Wales yesterday! We had a fun day out and I couldn’t help myself and came home with some lovely new additions to the stash.

I bought 4 skeins from Perran Yarns, on their DK Egyption base which is 50% baby alpaca, 25% linen and 25% silk, and it feels lovely!

I got 2 skeins from The Woolly Tangle, on their DK merino silk base which is 50% merino and 50% silk, so pretty!

And 4 skeins from Bellica Yarns, which I spotted in their bargain box! These are 75% super wash merino and 25% nylon.

I could have bought many, many more, but I had to restrain myself otherwise I would have spent a fortune! No more yarn for me for the rest of the year I think (unless it’s specifically for making gifts).
Now to think about what I’m going to make with them! 😀
There were also cute sheep and lambs at Wonderwool, so I snapped some photos of them as we went around all the stalls

Oh and another thing! I went to Penrhallt Alpacas‘ stall and showed them my alpaca diamonds jumper that I made from the yarn I bought from them last year! I felt a bit silly but they really appreciated seeing what was made from their lovely yarn, so it was worth it 🙂

I bet those folks were delighted to see what you’d made!
